Do you except students from other driving schools, from driver education and or driver training
Yes! We need to get some information from you about the other school.
Are you insured?
Yes! The State of California Vehicle Code section 11103 states; A driving school shall maintain bodily injury and property insurance.
For your protection. Jacobsen's Driving School carries more than the minimum.
What happens if I make an appointment and then I forgot about it?
You will be charged a $50.00 ( NO-SHOW FEE) for not showing up for your 2 hour session. By law, we have to pay for the instructors time.
What kind of instructors do you have?
Our instructors are State Licensed, highly qualified, patient, courteous, male and female.
Do you hire Driver Training Contractors?
No! They do not meet the high standards set by Jacobsen's Driving School.

What do your classrooms look like?
Our classroom environment is well organized, clean and incorporates the use of visual tools to make learning easy and fun.
What happens if it rains?
Yes, we do driver training in the rain. In all weather conditions.
What kind of cars do you have?
All of our cars are well maintained and easy to drive. They have air conditioning and automatic transmissions.
What kind of driving techniques do you teach?
The State requires the classroom program to introduce the fundamentals of driving. The information students will need to get a drivers permit.
We go beyond the Standards set by the State such as: air bags, train safety education, explain the difference between anti-lock and standard brakes, child car safety seat education, defensive driving methods, advanced crash avoidance techniques and skills.

What school requirements do you meet?
Our program meets or exceeds all High School Graduation requirements per the California Education Code.
Do you contract with public or private schools?
Yes! We contract with public, private, Christian Schools and Home Study Students.
We can set up a training program to meet your schools needs. Call 866-490-7617 for information.
What if I an nervous?
We have understanding and patient instructors who will help you overcome your nervousness.
Do you have private sessions?
At Jacobsen's Driving School, all our sessions are private. Our instructors are State licensed, highly qualified, patient, courteous, male and female.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes! We have a payment plan to fit your budget.
Can you pick me up at home, school or work?
Yes! Free of charge.
Can my parents or guardian ride on any training session?
Yes! We recommend them to do so, so they can take notes, ask the instructor questions and can see how the instructors are teaching learning new techniques and skills to be better defensive drivers.
How can I sign up?

What about DMV tests?
We help you prepare for both the written and drive tests. We also offer the use of our training car for the behind-the-wheel drive test.
The cost of the use of our training car for the State exam can be added for additional fee. Call for imformation regarding cost.
Do you teach the handicapped?
Yes! We contract with the Department of Rehabilitation.
We have very patient and knowledgeable instructors.
Can you evaluate current driving skills?
Yes! We offer company driver evaluations and will bring you up to date on the newest laws and techniques.
What should I bring to class?
Bring pencil or pen, lunch money, tuition fee (cash, check, visa, master card).
Where can we eat at?
There is a Food Fair and a 7-11 close by or bring your own.
We have a refrigerator and a small microwave to use and you can eat in the classroom.
Do you have restrooms available?
Yes! Inside company's break-room area.
When can I take driver training?
As soon as you complete drivers education and are 15 1/2 years or older and showing enrollment in a professional driving school.
How are the behind-the-wheel lessons scheduled?
They are scheduled in 3 - two hour increments. We recommend one lesson per month until you get your permit.
